Penn State Behrend awards several study abroad scholarships to students enrolled or planning to enroll in an international study program who have a proven financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. Students must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with Penn State to be considered. Scholarship values are determined based on the length of the trip and the applicant’s grade point average. It is possible that students could receive a scholarship after their study abroad experience. Please note that much of the study abroad funding has to be allocated specifically to students who are fifth semester or higher at the time of awarding. By completing this application, students will be considered for the following scholarships:
- Ethel and Irvin Kochel Scholarship for International Study
- John K. Henne Endowment for International Study
- Lindsay Anne Graygo Trustee Scholarship
If you are awarded a Behrend study abroad scholarship, and end up not traveling, the scholarship will be charged back to your account. You must notify the Behrend Financial Aid Office if your study abroad plans change.
Applications are accepted all year.
